Filmmaker’s Biography

Margy Kinmonth is a BAFTA Award-winning film and television director whose many credits include theatrical features REVOLUTION – NEW ART FOR A NEW WORLD (Foxtrot Films/Arts Alliance), BAFTA nominated HERMITAGE REVEALED, ROYAL PAINTBOX (Festival du Film sur l’Art, Montreal) with HRH The Prince of Wales, and REMEBER THE SECRET POLICE MAN’S BALL? (Amnesty International with John Cleese, Michael Palin, Rowan Atkinson, and Sting). 

Kinmonth’s series NAKED HOLLYWOOD (BBC) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Caan won the BAFTA Best Documentary Series and ACE Award and was nominated for an Emmy.  THE STRANGE WORLD OF BARRY WHO? (BBC) on Francis Bacon and Rudolf Nureyev won the RTS Best Arts Film Award.  WAR ART with Eddie Redmayne (Foxtrot Films/ITV) was nominated for BAFTA, RTS, and Peabody Awards.
